Four years ago we went as family to Cambodia for the very first time (above) and now … we’re going back! Our last event in Australia will be our Commissioning Service at 3pm 27th January 2018 at All Saints Anglican Church, 325 Stanmore Road Petersham. We’re running a series of information evenings to share our mission plans for Cambodia over some coffee and cake. Art for Cambodia

Do you have blank, boring walls in your house? Fear not! Come along to the “Art for Cambodia” show and buy some art for your home or a loved one. All work has been kindly donated by local Australian artists and all sales will go directly supporting our work in Cambodia. The details are below;

OFFICIAL OPENING – Friday 11th Nov 6-9pm. Exhibition continues on Saturday 12th 10-2pm @ All Saints Anglican Church Hall, Stanmore Road, Petersham.

Food and drink will be provided at the opening night with a donation to cover food cost. Art works prices will vary. Barefoot Soccer

Our next support raising event is a casual Cambodian style, 6-a-side barefoot soccer afternoon on Saturday 14th May (weather permitting). Bring a picnic lunch to Gough Whitlam Park on Bayview Avenue in Earlwood from 1pm (there’s a cafe and a new kid’s playground at the park). We’ll start playing from 2pm and finish by 5pm. During the afternoon we’ll give a brief explanation about our plans for ministry in Cambodia. To register your team click here. There is no cost to play.

Barefoot Bowls

We’ve walked the coast…now it’s time to get our shoes off for some barefoot bowling!

Join us for an afternoon of lawn bowling from 3-6pm Saturday 19th March at Petersham Bowling Club, 77 Brighton St, Petersham. The cost of the afternoon is $15/person for bowling. Food is available for purchase at the bistro.

And of course, this is another great opportunity to invite your friends to hear about our plans to take the good news of Jesus to Cambodia. Please RSVP by Wednesday 16th March to let us know you are coming

Coastal Walk for Cambodia

We’re launching this years support raising with a leisurely coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee on Saturday 27th February. We’ll meet at Bondi Beach at 2:30pm for a 3pm start. You can enjoy a swim at some of Sydney’s beautiful city beaches along the way. We will finish the walk at 6pm with a BBQ dinner at Coogee Beach. The cost is $20 which includes a BBQ dinner.

This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and hear about our plans to minister in Cambodia over dinner. All proceeds go to supporting our mission work in Cambodia. Trivia Cambodia – Saturday 15th August

Our next support raising event is a trivia night on Saturday 15th August at All Saints Church Hall, 325 Stanmore Road, Petersham. Gather your team of 10 and enjoy a fun evening of games and trivia. There’ll be prizes for the winning team. During the evening there’ll be a presentation about our missionary plans for Cambodia.

Cost $15/adult, $10/student. Children 12 and under are free. (Includes desert and coffee. There’ll also be a creche provided). To register your team of 10 please send an email to the9blairs@gmail.com by Wednesday 12th August. Payment to be made at the door. All profits go to supporting our mission work in Cambodia. The Killing Fields Movie Night – Take 2

We are going to screen ‘The Killing Fields’ movie again as we continue to raise support for our mission work in Cambodia. It’s a confronting but important look into Cambodia’s tragic history. The details are as follows;

Killing Fields Movie Night

The Killing Fields is an Academy Award winning film starring Sam Waterston, Haing Ngor and John Malkovich (with a cameo role by Australia’s Graham Kennedy). It tells the true story of two journalists reporting on the civil war in Cambodia in the 1970’s who are caught up in the harrowing events surrounding the reign of the Khmer Rouge.

We’re holding a special screening of this movie to help raise support for our missionary work in Cambodia. We’ll give a short presentation during the night about our hopes for bringing the light of the gospel to the people of Cambodia. The details are as follows;

7pm Saturday 28th March

Cost $25 per person
